Each month, members are given a topic, and asked to submit a ‘First Choice’ and two further images of their choice.
These pictures are then projected on club nights, following the main presentation. Members are invited to comment on the pictures.
2020 March - Love Challenge
March's challenge was set by our speaker Donald Mclellan to compliment his presentation on Portrait photography. "The theme I'm proposing is LOVE but please avoid cliche portraits of grandchildren and pets unless they are particularly interesting or different. The more experimental and creative the better, maybe use contrasting or mixed lighting, try back light and homemade reflectors etc. Challenge the viewers perception; use unusual camera angles and compositions. Shake things up and move out of your comfort zone. You never know, it might surprise you. "
